Stanley J. Morris, 91, of Carroll, died Thursday, July 12, 2018 at Careage Campus of Care in Wayne.
Services will be held Monday, July 16 at 10:30 a.m. at United Methodist Church in Carroll. The Rev Kyle Nelson will officiate. Visitation will be held Sunday, July 15 from 3 to 5 p.m. at Hasemann Funeral Home in Wayne with family present. Burial with military rites will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Carroll.
Memorials may be made to the family for later designation.

Stanley John Morris was born Dec. 19, 1926 at Carroll to Lloyd and Marjorie (Pinkham) Morris. He graduated from Carroll High School. Stanley served in The United States Navy During World War II from Dec. 13, 1944, until May 10, 1946, on the U.S.S. Oceanus as a machinist. Stanley married Betty Lou Winterstein on Dec. 22, 1946, at the Zion Congregational Church near Carroll. The couple farmed in the Carroll area for their entire married life until moving to Careage Campus Of Care at Wayne in May of 2011. Stanley was a past member of the Zion Congregational Church rural Carroll and a present member of the United Methodist Church in Carroll, Carroll American Legion Post #165 for 73 years. He was a Mason for over 60 years, having served the Fraternity Lodge #235 of Winside as Master, later joining the Wayne Lodge #120 and then Corinthian Lodge #83 A.F.A.M. of Wayne.
Survivors include his son, Charles Morris of Carroll; daughter, Mary Ellen (Delbert) Claussen of Carroll; grandchildren, Elizabeth Hansen (Aaron Kistenmacher) and Matthew (Heather) Claussen; great-grandchildren, Braxton Hansen and Jocelyn Hansen and Landen Claussen and Lane Claussen.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Betty Lou, in 2012; a grandson, Andrew Dale Claussen in 1980; and his sister and brother-in-law, Joyce (Morris) Sandahl.
Pallbearers will be Matt Claussen, John Sandahl, Keith Claussen, Terry Roberts, Ed Sandahl and Tim Rees.
