Ronnie Billheimer, 75, of Norfolk, died Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at the Norfolk Veterans Home in Norfolk.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m., Monday, July 24 at First United Methodist Church in Wayne. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Wayne. Visitation will be Sunday, July 23 from 4-6 p.m. at Home for Funerals in Norfolk.
Ronnie was born July 21, 1941 to Mabel Billheimer at Walthill.He entered the United States Navy on July 17, 1959 and received his honorable discharge June 18, 1962. Ronnie married Kathryn Ann (Jorgensen) Hochstein on May 26, 1961. To this union six children were born. After Ronnie’s discharge, he drove truck for 50+ years, worked for Terra Chemical in Wayne and did farming for Don Harmer, Don Rohde and Les Sherman. On Dec. 18, 1982 he married Natalee (Sievers) Landanger and became a stepfather to her three children and helped raise them. Ronnie had many hobbies, including, fishing, hunting, Husker football, camping, boating, gardening and carpentry work. He enjoyed driving his semis, but most of all he enjoyed being around family and friends.
Survivors include his wife Natalee of Norfolk; five sons, Monte (Diana) Billheimer of Haswell, Colo., Darin (Ann) Billheimer of Meridian, Mass., Chad (Angie) Billheimer of Wayne, JJ (Corine) Landanger of Denton and Dustin (Shauna) Landanger of Carroll; four daughters, Lynell Thies of Wayne, Andrea Hankins of Wayne, Kami (Wood) Pilger of Wisner and Missy (Jim) Howell of Omaha; 32 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Jack (Lori) Sievers, of Randolph; sister-in-law, Jacque (Darrell) Zweygardt; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father-in-law Leroy Sievers.
