Ray Florine, 106, of Wayne, died Sunday at his home at Brookdale-Wayne.
Services will be held Friday, July 8 at 10:30 a.m. at Salem Lutheran Church in Wakefield. The Rev. Barb Hansen will officiate. Visitation will be held Thursday, July 7 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Hasemann Funeral Home in Wayne with family present.
Burial will be in the Wakefield Cemetery in Wakefield.

Raymond Edward Florine was born Nov. 3, 1909 near Huron, S.D. to Arthur and Amanda (Nelson) Florine. The family moved to a farm outside Carthage, S.D. the following spring. He was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Carthage S.D. Raymond attended country school in South Dakota. In the spring of 1935 the family moved to a farm near Wayne and became members of Salem Lutheran Church in Wakefield. Raymond married Irene E. Larsen on Jan. 18, 1940 at Wayne. The couple farmed near Wakefield and Wayne until retiring and moving into Wayne in September of 1984. Raymond was a former Salem Lutheran Church Council member and Rural School District #45 board member and 4-H leader.
Survivors include his children, Gerald Florine of Omaha and Judy Meier of Brighton, Colo.; son-in-law, Dennis Fanning of Arvada, Colo.; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 72 years, Irene, in 2012; daughter, Connie Fanning; sisters, Ruby Miles and Hazel Koether; and brother, Kermit Florine.
Pallbearers will be Justin Polhamus, Joel Polhamus, Ben Poutre, Derek Poutre, Scott Meier, Gene Granquist, Jim Granquist and Jerry McPherran.
Arrangements are with Hasemann Funeral Home of Wayne.
