Randal Lanser, 61, of Laurel, died Sunday, Dec. 3, 2017 at Laurel.
Services will be held Friday, Dec. 8 at 10:30 a.m. at First Lutheran Church in Allen. The Rev. Chris Hjelmstad will officiate. Burial will be in the Laurel Cemetery at Laurel. Visitation will be Thursday, Dec. 7 from 5 to 7 p.m. at First Lutheran Church in Allen with a prayer service at 7 p.m.
Memorials may be directed to the Lanser family for later designation.

Randal Larry Lanser was born March 19, 1956 in Wakefield to Larry and Shirley (Jensen) Lanser. He was baptized and confirmed at First Lutheran Church in Allen. He graduated from Allen High School in 1974. He then attended Marine Mechanic Training, and Cooling and Refrigeration Training. Randy was well known to everyone as “Shine”. Randy settled on a farm north of Laurel and began farming. He married Susan McCorkindale in June of 1984. To this union one son, Mitchel James, was born. Randal married Annette Pritchard in November of 2010. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, boating, water sports, traveling, cooking, socializing with friends, and listening to Jimmy Buffett. Randy always believed “Farming is not an occupation, it’s a lifestyle”. His idea of a perfect day would conclude with a sunset on the Missouri River.
Survivors include his wife, Annette; daughters, Susan Pritchard of Sioux Falls, S.D., Lori Pritchard (fiance, Spencer Lowe) of Lincoln, and Amy Pritchard (fiance, Matt Dohma) of Newcastle; mother, Shirley Lanser of Allen; son, Mitchel Lanser of Wayne; brother, Gary Lanser of Okeechobee, Fla.; sister, Sue (Warren) Miller of Allen; sisters-in-law, Kandy Lanser of Laurel, Sandy (Dave) McCorkindale of Lincoln, Sherri (Jason) Korte of Waukee, Iowa; many aunts, uncles, cousins, niece, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Susan Lanser; father, Larry Lanser; and brother, Frank Lanser.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dennis Schlines, Brian Hirchert, Tim Hill, Bruce Nelson, Kevin Erickson, Lyle Grone, Jeff Engel and Neil Blohm.
Active pallbearers will be Nicholas Miller, Cody Miller, Jared Miller, Luke McCorkindale, Matt Dohma and Spencer Lowe.
