Phillip Lubke

    Phillip Lubke, 90, Norfolk, formerly of Foster, died Friday, Oct. 13, 2017, at Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk.
    Services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 18 at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Foster. Burial will be in Prospect View Cemetery in Pierce. Visitation will be from 4-7  p.m. at Stonacek Memorial Chapel in Pierce on Tuesday, Oct. 17.
    Memorials be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church, 301 W. Schneider St., Foster, Neb. 68765
    Arrangements are with Stonacek Memorial Chapel in Pierce.

Ida Mae Witt

    Ida Mae Witt, 80, of Wakefield, died Sunday, Oct. 15, 2017 at Providence Medical Center in Wayne.
    Services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 18 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Wakefield. The Rev. William Bertrand will officiate. Visitation will be held Tuesday, Oct. 17 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Hasemann Funeral Home of Wayne with family present. Burial will be in the Wakefield Cemetery.
    Memorials may be directed to the Witt family for later designation.
    Arrangements are with Hasemann Funeral Home of Wayne.

Richard Carlson

    Richard D. Carlson, 82, of Wayne, owner of Carlson Clearwater Fish Farms, died Saturday, Oct. 7, 2017 at a Sioux City, Iowa hospital.
   Services will be held Thursday, Oct. 12 at 1:30 p.m. at Concord Evangelical Free Church in Concord. Visitation will be held Wednesday, Oct. 11 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Hasemann Funeral Home of Wayne with family present.
    Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Wayne.
    Memorials may be directed to the Carlson family for later designation.
    Arrangements are with Hasemann Funeral Home in Wayne.

Alice Ross

    Alice Ross, 98, formerly of Laurel, died Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2017 in Spokane, Wash.
    Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 17 at the Laurel United Methodist Church, 302 Elm Street in Laurel, followed by interment of her cremains at the Laurel Cemetery.

Marilyn M. Schwartz

    Marilyn M. Schwartz, 77, of Pierce, died Thursday, Sept. 28, 2017 at her daughter’s home in Norfolk
    Services were held Monday, Oct. 2, at the Zion Lutheran Church in Pierce. The Rev. Gordon Bruce and Vicar Jesse Baker officiated with burial in Green Garden Cemetery in rural Madison.
    Arrangements were with Stonacek Memorial Chapel in Pierce.

James "Gary" Bottger

       James "Gary" Bottger, 50 of rural Laurel, died Friday, Sept. 29, 2017 as the result of an automobile accident near Wayne.
    Memorial services will be held Monday, Oct. 9 at 11 a.m. at First United Methodist Church in Wayne with full military rites.  The Reverend Kyle Nelson will officiate. Memorial visitation will be held Sunday, Oct. 8 from 4 to 6 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Wayne with family present.
    Burial will be held at a later date.
Memorials may be directed to the family.

Marilyn 'Mary' Murray

        Marilyn “Mary“ Murray, 89, of Wayne, died Sunday, Oct. 1, 2017 at  Careage Campus Of Care in Wayne.
    Services will be held Saturday, Oct. 7 at 1 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Wayne. The Rev. Teresa Bartlett will officiate. Visitation will be held at the church Saturday from 11:30 a.m. until service time. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Wayne.
    Memorials may be directed to the Murray family for later designation.
    Arrangements are with Hasemann Funeral Home of Wayne.

Daniel L. Dutcher

   Daniel L. Dutcher, 62, of Wakefield, died Tuesday, Sept. 26th, 2017 following an accident at Michael's Foods in Wakefield.
    Mass of Christian Burial was held Saturday, Sept. 30 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Wayne. Burial was in the Wakefield Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family for future designation. Arrangements were under the direction of Bressler-Munderloh-Smith Funeral Home in Wakefield.

Delta Vosteen

   Delta (Meyer) Vosteen, 95, of Pender died Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2017 at Legacy Garden Rehabilitation and Living Center in Pender.
    Services will be held Saturday, Sept. 30 at 10 a.m. at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church near Pender; Rev. Kathy Montira will be officiating.  Visitation will be held Friday, Sept. 29, 2017 from 5 - 7 p.m. at the Munderloh – Smith Funeral Home in Pender.  Burial will be in the St. Peter’s Lutheran Church Cemetery.  
    Memorials are suggested to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, the House Memorial Library, and the Pender V.F.W.

Johnny R. Starks

    Johnny R. Starks, 65, of South Sioux City  died Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2017 at a local hospital in Sioux City, Iowa.
    Private family services will be held at a later date. Becker Hunt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Johnny Ray Starks was born Aug. 6, 1952 in Pierce, the son of Goradon and Alice Irene (Kastrup) Starks. He graduated from Laurel High School, and for the past four years resided in South Sioux City where he worked for Tysons.
