Blue Devils win only home dual of season

Wayne High's wrestling team made the most of its lone home dual on the schedule this season, outlasting Creighton in a 41-30 win Thursday at Wayne High School.

Garret Schafer, Reece Jaqua, Cameron Muhs and Berto Vergara all won matches by pin, while Victor Kneische earned a dominating 18-1 technical fall to lead the way for the Blue Devils, who improved to 5-4 in duals this season.

Wayne will take part in the Green Machine Invitational on Saturday in Wisner.
