Vicky Skokan, 75, of Wayne, died Monday, Oct. 30, 2017 at a Sioux City, Iowa hospital.
Memorial services will be held Thursday, Nov. 2 at 10:30 a.m. at First United Methodist Church in Wayne. The Rev. Kyle Nelson will officiate. Memorial visitation will be held at the church on Wednesday, Nov. 1 from 5 - 7 p.m. with family present. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Wayne.
Memorials may be directed to the Skokan family for later designation.
Arrangements are with Hasemann Funeral Home of Wayne.
Vicky Rae Skokan was born Sept. 16, 1942 at Sterling, Colo. to Fred Wayne and Lillis (Nash) Moore. She graduated from Wamego, Kansas High School. She had several employments before her marriage. Vicky married Larry Skokan on Dec. 3, 1962 at First Christian Church in Lincoln. They lived in Beaver City, Alliance and Beatrice before moving to Wayne in 1972. Vicky was employed at Wayne State College as Accountant Clerk for 19 years. She enjoyed bowling and spending time with her friends. Most of all she loved her grandchildren. Vicky was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Wayne and was a volunteer at Micah’s Closet.
Survivors include her husband, Larry; son, Todd (Lisa) Skokan of Omaha; daughter, Sonja (Rod) Hunke of Wayne; four grandchildren; a brother, Bill Moore of Lincoln; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Arden Moore; sister, Donna Lesh; sister-in-law, Pat Moore; grandson, Nate Skokan; and nephew, Terrance Moore.
