Mildred "Millie" Beran

Mildred C. "Millie" Beran, 67, of Fremont, died Monday, July 4, 2016 at her home.  
Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 9 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Fremont.  Father David Belt and Father Mark Beran will officiate. A Vigil Service with a Catholic Daughters Rosary will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday at the church. Visitation will be held Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 6 to 7 p.m. all at church. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Fremont.  Memorials may be given to St. Patrick's Catholic Church and to Fremont Health Hospice.
Mildred C. "Millie" Beran was born June 11, 1949 in Cuming County in Nebraska to William and Mildred (Karel) Schlautman.  She grew up in rural Howells, and was a graduate of Howells High School.  She attended Wayne State College and then graduated from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln with a Bachelor Degree in Family Consumer Science Education. Millie married Richard F. Beran on June 24, 1969 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Howells. The couple lived in various states until moving to Fremont in 1993. Millie taught school in Arkansas and California, and at Cedar Bluffs High School, Omaha North and Fremont High School. She retired in May of 2015. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, St. Patrick's Women, Catholic Daughters, St. Patrick's Adult and New Life Choirs and St. Pat's Pinochle Club.
Survivors include her husband, Rich; daughters, Jill (Jeremy) Kreikemeier and Jessica (Scott) Wilson all of Omaha; sons, Brian (Amy) Beran of Yucaipa, Calif., Mike (Kathy) Beran of Lincoln, Father Mark Beran of Winnebago, and Greg (Suzy) Beran of Lincoln; sister, Mary Ann (Vic) Hegemann of Bedford, Texas; brothers, Bill (Marge) Schlautman of Howells, Ron (Teri) Schlautman of Lincoln, Darryl (Joan) Schlautman of Pilger and Dan (Joyce) Schlautman of Lincoln; 10 grandchildren, Lexi, Emma and Lucy Kreikemeier, Zach, Grant, Tyler, Nathan, Jack, Rylie and Ethan Beran.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
