Laura J. Hines

    Laura J. Hines, 31, of Norfolk, died Thursday, Sept. 29, 2016 at her home in Norfolk.
    Services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 5 at 10:30 a.m. at Stonacek Funeral Chapel in Norfolk. The Rev. Jeremy Jech will officiate. Visiation will be held Tuesday, Oct. 4 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Stonacek Funeral Chapel in Norfolk. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery in Norfolk.
    Arrangements are with Stonacek Funeral Chapel in Norfolk.
    Laura J. Hines was born Oct. 27, 1984 in Tulsa, Okla. to Alan D. Johnson and Shelia J. (Metz) Johnson. She attended middle school in Wayne and then Wayne High School. She graduated from Neligh High School in 2002. She then graduated from Northeast Community College with an Associate’s Degree in Medical Science. She was a member of First Christian Church, Norfolk. After graduation she received her Med-Aid and worked at Heritage of Bel Air Nursing Home as a Med-Aid and Certified Nursing Assistant. She was currently taking classes to complete her CPA. She also worked at Wayne Careage Nursing Home. She moved to Lincoln for one year and worked at South Lake Nursing Home until moving back to Norfolk in June, 2016. Her boys and family were very important to her. She enjoyed game and movie night with her two boys. She also liked to tease and joke around with her family. She liked her motorcycles and enjoyed watching “Husker Football.” She also enjoyed dancing, walking, and riding bikes with her family and also getting together for family reunions.
    Survivors include her sons, William Hines and Eli Hines both of Norfolk; her father, Alan Johnson of Norfolk, mother Shelia Johnson of Wayne; siblings Lisa and Shad Goldman of New Mexico, Jeff and Kathy Johnson of Lincoln, Dalene and Pat Herley of Norfolk, Alan Jr. and Brandy Johnson of Gering and Adam and Sheena Johnson of Carbondale, Kan.; and several nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Dale and Betty Johnson and maternal grandparents, Charles and Inez Metz.

    Pallbearers will be Adam Johnson, Alan Johnson Jr., Jeff Johnson, Paul Bender, Travis Kubal and Pat Herley.
    Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Johnson, Alan Johnson, Marcus Houck, Ethan Johnson and Lisa Goldman.
