Judith Berry
Judith Berry, formerly of Wayne, died Saturday, May 5, 2018 at her home in Flagstaff, Ariz.
A private memorial service will be held in Flagstaff. Condolences to family can be sent in care of Joan Scott, 3523 Cayuga, Flagstaff, Ariz. 86005.
She will be remembered in Wayne for her service learning and collaboration projects with Wayne State College and Wayne Public Schools, resulting in the clay mural in downtown Wayne and cast aluminum books located at the college, courthouse and library. Judith received her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Art education from Wayne State College. She taught art in Laurel and later in Las Vegas schools. She returned to Wayne where she taught art at Wayne State College. During that time she completed her Master of Fine Arts degree at the University of South Dakota in Vermillion.
Survivors include her daughters, Carrie (Mike) Dunakoskie and Sarah (Nebon) Bond; son, Matthew (Christon) Hampton; sisters, Joan (Tom) Scott, Sheryl Quinn, Lory (Dale) Paramore and a brother, Kirk Hampton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Berry, formerly of Wayne.
