Christopher M. Sherry
Christopher M. Sherry, 26, of Wayne, died Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2016 at his home near Wayne.
Services will be held Monday, Aug. 8 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Wayne. The Rev. Jeff Mollner and Deacons Pat Gross and Gary French will officiate. Visitation will be Sunday, Aug. 7 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Wayne from 5 to 7 p.m. with a vigil service at 7 p.m. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Wayne.
Memorials may be made to the Sherry family for later designation.
Arrangements are with Hasemann Funeral Home in Wayne.
Christopher Michael Sherry was born Sept. 8, 1989 in Wayne to George and Maryanne (Mimmo) Sherry. He graduated from Wayne High School in 2008, where he played football and participated in track and shot put. Chris graduated from Wayne State College in 2013, with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Political Science and Sociology. Following graduation he worked as a Medical Aide for North Star and was currently a Medication Aid at R Way in Wayne. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Wayne. Chris loved fishing as a young boy, tinkering with electronics, and was an avid fan of the New England Patriots and Husker football.
Survivors include his parents, George and Maryanne Sherry of Wayne; brother, George Sherry III of Lincoln; sisters, Barbara (Bill) Eaton of Mechanicsville, Md. and Cheryl (Michael) David of Davenport, Fla.; nieces and nephews, Kimberly Eaton, Billy Eaton, Ashley Hancock, and Josh Hancock; girl friend, Carissa Boand of Wayne; aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
