Robert Meyer, 92, of Wayne, died Monday, July 3, 2017 at Providence Medical Center in Wayne.
Services will be held Friday, July 7 at 10:30 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church in Wayne. Pastor Michael Feldmann will officiate. Visitation will be held Thursday, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Hasemann Funeral Home in Wayne with family present. Burial with military rites will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Wayne.
Memorials may be directed to the Meyer family for later designation.

Robert Bernard “Bob” Meyer, was born March 2, 1925 on a farm in Wayne County to Carl F. and Alvina (Victor) Meyer. He was baptized at Immanuel Lutheran Church rural Wakefield and confirmed at Grace Lutheran Church in Wayne. He attended District #10 Country School near Wayne and graduated from Wayne High School in 1942. He served in the United States Army-Air Force as a flight Officer from Oct. 10, 1943 - Oct. 4, 1945. He graduated from U.N. L. in 1949, with a degree in history and journalism. Bob married Annetta Nelson in June of 1949, at Grace Lutheran Church. They farmed in Wayne County. Bob married Mona Faye (Kingston) Milligan on June 12, 1964 at Grace Lutheran Church. The couple farmed in Wayne County until moving into Wayne in 1986. Through the years, Bob worked at KTCH and was a truck driver for Restful Knights. Bob was a member of Grace Lutheran Church where he sang in the choir for over 75 years and served as an usher. He was well known for his singing of the National Anthem at area sporting events. He enjoyed baking bread and muffins and making homemade jelly that he would share with many friends and neighbors.
Survivors include his wife, Mona Faye; children, Cynthia Kahane of Missoula, Mont., Joan Meyer of Lincoln, Richard (Cindy) Milligan of Lincoln, John Meyer of Wayne, Renee (Jim) Martocchio of Mt. Prospect, Ill. and Randy Milligan of Wayne; brother, David (Judy) Meyer of Council Bluffs, Iowa; 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Annetta in 1962; son, Thomas Dean Meyer; daughter, Faith Meyer; brothers, Don (Edna) Meyer and Dean Meyer; and sister, Virginia (Don) Konzler.
Pallbearers will be Dustin Milligan, Josh Milligan, Ben Meyer, Jeff Smalley, Mitchel Hall, Spencer Hall, Seth Milligan and Nick Martocchio.
