Arlene Weible, 87, of Winside, died Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk.
Services were held Monday, April 2 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Winside. Burial was in Pleasantview Cemetery at Winside.
Memorials may be directed to the Weible family for a later designation.
Arrangements were with Hasemann Funeral Home of Wayne.
Arlene Dorothy Weible was born May 18, 1930 in Winside to Fred and Dora (Woehler) Smith. She attended Winside Public School. Arlene married Ed Weible on Sept. 1, 1947 in Las Vegas, Nev. The couple lived for a few years in California before moving to Winside. They later moved to a farm in South Dakota and then returned to Winside, where they lived for several years. Arlene enjoyed cooking, playing scrabble, cards, cribbage, crossword puzzles and gardening.
Survivors include her children, Larry Weible, Gene (Lisa) Weible, and Dennis (Jody) Weible; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Cleo (Karen) Smith; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ed, in 1982; daughter, Diana Noah; two great-granddaughters, Harper and Kora; a sister, Ila; two brothers-in-law, Earl Selders and Bob White; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Alfred (Dorothy “Dort”) Smith and Delbert (Darlene) Smith.
