Agnes Keenan, 93, of Wayne, died Monday, May 22, 2017 at Careage Campus of Care in Wayne.
Services will be held Wednesday, May 31 at 1 p.m. at Hasemann Funeral Home in Wayne. Angnes' grandson, Pastor Jonathan Musgrave, will officiate. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 30 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home with family present. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery in Winside.
Memorials may be directed to the Keenan family for later designation.
Arrangements are with Hasemann Funeral Home in Wayne.
Agnes Blanche Keenan was born March 22, 1924 at Vermillion, S.D. to Leon and Matilda (Moritz) Couture. Following her education she worked in various packing plants in Sioux City, Iowa. After moving to Nebraska, she was a dishwasher at Winside Public Schools. She worked at Winside Lockers and later Sherwood Medical in Norfolk, retiring at age 65. Agnes was then employed at Pacific Coast in Wayne until 2005, retiring again at the age of 81. She enjoyed butterflies, penguins, and cats.
Survivors include her children, Gary Nielsen of Phoenix, Ariz., Lela Adams of Wayne, Linda Nielsen of Denver, Colo., Les Keenan of Wayne, and Robin (Randy) Nelsen of Winside; seven grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Rolande Nielsen and Robert Keenan; several brothers and sisters; two daughters, Thea Keenan in 2011, and Mary Keenan in 2013; one great-granddaughter, Lydia Harner in 2007; and two sons-in-law.
Pallbearers will be members of her family.
